It is important to remember that, under the Reporting of Incidents Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR), you must report whenever an employee or self-employed person is away from work or unable to perform their normal work duties for more than seven consecutive days as a result of an injury sustained as a direct result of their work activities.

You must also record when a worker is incapacitated or unable to work from more than three consecutive days due to an accident related to their work.
